Grand Seiko Kodo Constant-force Tourbillon - ‘White Kodo’
The White Kodo stands as a testament to Grand Seiko’s pursuit of elegance and innovation. The Grand Seiko ‘White Kodo’ was introduced in 2022 and won the Chronometry Prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Geneve. While the original expressed twilight, this new limited edition Grand Seiko watch is inspired by Daybreak. The silver components give a subtle bright appearance through the sapphire crystal case.
Grand Seiko Evolution 9 - ‘Birch Bark’
The Grand Seiko ‘Birch Bark’ is the first Grand Seiko with a 10-beat manual wind movement to be created in 50 years. The calibre 9SA4 made its debut in the Evolution 9 collection with a striking appearance. Drawing inspiration from the serene beauty of nature, the Grand Seiko Evolution 9 ‘Birch Bark’ captures the beauty of a birch tree, with the dial’s texture mimicking the intricate patterns found on the trees near the Grand Seiko Studio, Shizukuishi.
Grand Seiko ‘Starry Night’
This limited edition Grand Seiko ‘Starry Night’ features an 18ct gold case and a stunning navy-blue hue reminiscent of a starry night. This watch is inspired by Van Gogh’s Starry Night painting or Hoshizukiyo as it is known in Japan. The Grand Seiko ‘Starry Night’ is part of the elegance collection and makes a great addition to the Grand Seiko catalogue.
Grand Seiko ‘Sekkei’ - Snow Valley
This sport watch is a mechanical Hi-Beat 3600 GMT and features the calibre 9S86. The SBGJ277 depicts a snowy valley scene, with its frosted white dial glistening like snow, and its green and white bezel portraying a mountain forrest. Featuring a 24-hour display rotating bezel, the Grand Seiko ‘Snow Valley’ allows wearers to check the time in up to three different time zones.
Grand Seiko ‘Tokyo Lion’
At the Watches and Wonders 2024 event, Grand Seiko released two new Tokyo Lion references. The first is a calibre 9R66 sports GMT model with a champagne dial. The second is a limited edition colour-changing dial to replicate the Shinshu sunrise. This beautifully coloured watch is limited to only 700 watches. The Grand Seiko ‘Tokyo Lion’ features an extremely durable case with water resistance up to 20 bar. This is not only reminiscent of the incredible strength of a lion, but the stunning dial also evokes that of a lion’s mane shimmering in the sun.
Grand Seiko Evolution 9 ‘Genbi Valley’
The Genbi Valley in Japan is a place of natural beauty. The stunning nature and mysterious scenery are expressed in the watch’s dial. A beautiful light green colour is set on a new moulded pattern. With a see-through sapphire crystal case back and an 80-hour operating time, the SLGH021 is a fantastic new watch brought out by the Japanese company.
Grand Seiko ‘White Lion III’
With a variety of 293 precious stones, ranging from clear diamonds to light and dark blue sapphires, this masterpiece is a statement piece that combines watchmaking mastery with stunning gem setting techniques. The SBGD215 is limited to only 8 watches and is available for $300,000. The calibre 9R01 is a spring drive movement with three barrels allowing for up to 8 days of continuous operation.
Grand Seiko Heritage Collection 62GS
Although not released by Grand Seiko at Watches and Wonders 2024, the Japanese watch brand unveiled two new watches earlier in the year. The pink 62GS has a dial expressing the beauty of sakura (cherry blossom) covered in snow and the green dial shows the vibrancy of new leaves growing on a cherry tree. The movement powering these two watches is the calibre 9S85 which beats 10 times per second to provide a more precise timekeeping device.
